Facebook Change Their Terms Of Use For Fan Pages
If you are the administrator of a Facebo0ok Fan page and you recently got a message like this from Facebook then you are probably a little upset to say the least.
Most people who receive this kind of warning have no idea that they have violated any of Facebooks’ terms and conditions and feel somewhat victimized, especially if they have spent a lot of time and effort building up their Facebook community only to have their publishing rights taken away.

I don't use Facebook because it can and it does change terms and conditions at will.
I simply can't trust it with my personal information.
Youre not the 1st and you wont be the last to loose your page. I lost mine also – get back up and start again.
You are not the first and will not be the last to loose your page. They took my business and personal pages also. get up and start again.
Ian, I work for a large voucher/coupon code affiliate site whom recently had their fan page disabled also. However, we were able to contact facebook and they reinstated said page, I think largely due to the amount of money we spend on PPC advertising through facebook. It's all pretty corrupt when genuinely helpful pages are cut-loose from their adoring fans in this way.

We just had the same thing happen to us! We had just hit 10,000 fans…I wonder if there is something in their TOS-violation search algorithm that only targets pages over 10,000?
We have emailed, tweeted, made a page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Bring…
We have gone through the terms and cannot find one reason why we have been found in violation of the TOS!
If you use your “fan base” for commercial purposes without disclosure to your “fans,” you run the risk of violating Facebook's TOS. In other words, any perception of “spam” could get you canned. Email and telephone marketers abused their way into the necessity for prohibitive legislation. Facebook is a bit unique, in that there is a mutual sharing of users. If you run off one of your “fans,” chances are Facebook will lose that same user. Beyond, Facebook is not a tool to be used for free advertising of your business. Jane's case? Hard to say what's going on, as there simply isn't enough information. One thing is certain, however. Money talks – buy some ads. Facebook is a “for-profit” concern.
Thanks a landlord it! I acquired yet some insight. Life is so colorful, we should be able to live in, such as Korea and honor the planet. Human life is like rivers, slowly flowing, flowing rivers, flowing through the snow, flows through the prairie and ultimately into the sea, return to the embrace of nature, start a new reincarnation. Allow us to feel the meaning of life will come only to those you have those memories http://www.chaneloutletstores.com/chanel-travel…
Thank you Ian .. excellent insight .. very useful.
Ian .. would it be considered a violation of Facebook TOS to have a link to my Page Wall and also to my Blog in the profile description area, such as below .. your feedback appreciated. thanks
** 'Like' My FB Page **
url-to-my-page-wall
** Official Blog **

Just had this happen to my fan page too. Right when I hit 10,000 fans. Did you ever get facebook to reinstate your publishing rights? Was your page set up as a Business page or a Community page?
Thanks for the information and look forward to your feedback.

I had the same thing happen automatically when the page hit 10,000 fans. I only ever posted photos to the fan page and never had links going to products or services for any external companies.

I had bought ads from Facebook to help increase the fans and they approved the ads and took over $1,000 off me for them. If they already knew at the start that they would close the fan page at 10,000 fans and didn't disclose that as they were approving and taking the ad money, it looks like a fraudulent gain by them.
They can decide any rule to close the page, but if they had already decided and still took the money, they are at fault.
If this is a rule programmed into their systems that sites hitting 10,000 will get closed then it is systematic fraud.
Facebook is totally transparent. All our personal inforamation is open for stargers also.Better not go for that.
We can't trust annybody with our personal information.
Facebook fan page as an interactive portal where people can communicate with you or talk about the general field your company is involved in. Avoid obsessing on the question of how to get Facebook fans; instead, focus on creating quality content. If your content is good, there is usually no need to spam.
could you tell me how i contact facebook to restore my page , i lost a page with over than 800 thousand fans !!
